No expert here, but I think I can hear the noise of Joe's campaign crashing all the way across the pond.
Joe has been dodging the release of his full employment records from when he was an attorney for the Fairbanks North Star Borough.
There was a brouhaha going on about who was responsible for the non release. Joe blamed the FNSB and the FNSB blamed Joe.
For the full background see my diary from yesterday.

Last Thursday the Fairbanks North Star Borough finally tired of Joe's BS, and sent him a letter demanding he retract and correct the misrepresentations on his website. They also called his bluff and gave him until today, 11th October, to respond.

In a letter sent Thursday to Miller's attorney, Ward Merdes, borough attorney Jill Dolan also asks that Miller "retract and correct repeated misrepresentations he has made regarding his records," including postings on his campaign website that suggest it's the borough, not Miller, that is blocking release of the records.
So Joe states that he will give a press conference today at 11 am Alaska time, to answer all the questions about his employment and departure from the FNSB.
Joe today unexpectedly called off the said press conference and the Alaska Dispatch didn't take it well.

Alaska Dispatch sues for release of Miller's records
Alaska Dispatch sued the Fairbanks North Star Borough on Monday for the release of U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller's employment records. The suit comes after accusations that Miller was politicking on borough time.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity told Alaska Dispatch that Miller was caught using borough equipment in an attempt to unseat Alaska GOP party chair Randy Ruedrich. The Miller campaign has neither denied nor confirmed the claim. A press conference was reportedly set for 11 a.m. Monday to address Miller's past employment with the borough; however, a spokesman for Miller said the campaign had decided not to hold a conference before Monday's noon Anchorage Chamber of Commerce candidates' forum but might speak with reporters afterward.
My favourite paragraph.....
The activity Miller is accused of is similar to what got Ruedrich in trouble in 2003 when it was brought to light that he was using state computers and e-mail to conduct Republican party business while working for the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. His then-co-worker Sarah Palin blew the whistle on Ruedrich's activities, and he ended up paying a $12,000 state ethics fine. Palin is a strong Miller supporter, as is the Tea Party Express.
As if this weren't all bad enough for poor Joe, I just found this.......

Tea Party Express waiting to air ads in Alaska
JUNEAU, Alaska - A national tea party group supporting Joe Miller in the Alaska Senate race has decided to hold off on running ads in the contest until nearer the election.
The group last week unveiled ads it said it hoped to begin airing within days. The ads, shown to reporters and posted online, included one called, "Arrogant Lisa Murkowski - You Lost!" It seeks to cast Murkowski, who is running as a write-in candidate, as more interested in keeping her job than in serving Alaskans' interests.
Poor Joe, say it ain't so. (sorry, couldn't resist)
Update
Thanks to marigold in the comments, it seems that the press conference may be back on per the ADN
http://community.adn.com/...
The Miller campaign initially scheduled a news conference for 11 a.m. at the Anchorage campaign headquarters to address the issue. That's been pushed back to 1:30, after the Chamber of Commerce debate, according to the campaign. We'll have full coverage.
A couple of the comments in the online paper
I called his campaign office this morning. They had never heard of any press conference. Does this man have any experience as a manager? Cancellations, misstatements, corrections, misinformation and zero endorsements by anyone who he has ever worked with is a HUGE RED FLAG.
Still can't wait to hear what spin will come out. Hopefully Joe will withdraw and save Alaska money and more embarrassment.
HUGE UPDATE
Massive thanks to marigold.

Update, 1:55 p.m.: Republican nominee Joe Miller just told reporters that he will not be answering any more questions about his personal background for the remainder of the campaign.
He made the statement at an impromptu news conference after today's debate at the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce. He took no questions and immediately walked out of the room.
We'll have updates shortly.
If I'm not sadly mistaken this is huge news, and could be great for Scott McAdams.
3RD update
The ADN has a follow up

Miller vows silence on background until election
Republican Senate nominee Joe Miller said this afternoon that he will not be answering any more questions about his personal background for the remainder of the campaign.
"We've drawn a line in the sand. You can ask me about background, you can ask me about personal issues. I'm not going to answer," the Miller said.
Miller, a Fairbanks attorney backed by the Tea Party Express, has faced scrutiny in recent weeks on a number of fronts involving his personal background, including that his family received low-income medical benefits, low-income hunting and fishing licenses and that his wife drew unemployment benefits. Miller has been critical of such programs at the federal level.
There are some very interesting comments being posted to this story
That's a pretty explosive statement from someone who wants to be a public servant at the federal level.
Well, here's more background whether Joe likes it or not.
Joe's a little rascal. He’s been charged with 5 traffic violations according to Alaska Court View.
Sept,2010 Failure to avoid collision
May, 2010 10-19 mph over
April, 2009 No proof of insurance
April, 2009 4-9 mph over.
