Bill Clinton was in Kentucky yesterday campaigning for Jack Conway. Many people like Bill Clinton, especially Southern Dems and independents. And most people have moved on from the Lewinsky scandal. But not Rand Paul. Paul goes there with a vengenance, thus alienating many and showing his increasing desparation as he is unable to put Conway away:
"I'm not sure I would trust a guy who had had sexual relations with an intern," Paul said, responding to Clinton's campaign efforts for his Democratic rival Jack Conway earlier in the day, the Lexington Herald-Leader reports. "I mean, do you think he's an honorable person?"

Rand Paul thus ensured more people will dislike him. What an ass.
"They complain they want all these workplace rules. Do you think there ought to be a law against having, using the prerogatives of your position and your power of your job, to have relations with an intern? I think that's disgusting. It gets to the point where we discount what he says. He showed himself less than honorable in office."

Bill Clinton may have done it with an intern, but Rand Paul will screw this nation.
Update I: From marabout in the comments, video of Pres. Clinton's speech
Update II: From Steve Benen at The Washington Monthly
First, what Clinton said that made Rand Paul cry like a baby:
"We have a practical, progressive, common-sense moderate who has actually done things and actually has a plan, running against a man with radical ideas and no record to back it up, no evidence that anything works that they're advocating, who has embraced an agenda that will add a trillion dollars to the debt, not reduce the deficit and not create jobs, but let us go back to what got us in trouble in the first place," Clinton said.
Paul can't take the truth, and Big Daddy can't fix it for him, so he says "Don't listen to Clinton, he had sex with Monica Lewinsky." Benen nails it here:
Really? Twelve years later, Paul thinks it's sensible to play the Lewinsky card?
Look, Clinton was calling Paul out in a way that made the GOP candidate look bad -- with observations that happened to be true -- but to argue that Clinton's affair leaves him permanently discredited is crazy, even by Paul standards. Indeed, it sets up a great opportunity to evaluate who has more credibility -- the popular two-term former president who carried Kentucky twice, or the odd right-wing ophthalmologist with an extremist worldview and very little knowledge about the state he's running in.
If Rand Paul wants to make this week about whether Bill Clinton knows what he's talking about, I suspect Democrats would gladly oblige.
My question is why is it that the mediocrities of the world love Ayn Rand and her immoral cult of selfishness? Compare Bill Clinton with Rand Paul. On every level, Bill Clinton dwarfes the whiny Rand.
