GOP candidates are making a point of running against "bailouts" this year. Yet even as they rail about rescuing big banks, they're working on a plan that would slip those same banks an estimated $90 billion in taxpayer money... and that's just in the first ten years.
~snip~
They're planning to siphon off $90 billion meant for America's college students and their families and give it to Wall Street.
Any Tea Partier who votes for these guys is being played for a sucker.

So the Government bails out the big banks, who in turn bail out the GOP with record breaking campaign donations, who in turn bail out the banks again by robbing college students.
Corruption? Nah . . . just Republicans being Republicans

The GOP's plan centers around gutting and/or repealing Obama's Student Loan reform bill that was passed earlier this year . . .
The Republican repeal plan wouldn't just put tens of billions of public dollars in bank coffers. It would also raise the maximum amount a graduate is forced to pay each year from 10 percent to 15 percent of income. And it would extend the length of time before their debt is forgiven from 20 to 25 years.

By loading college students with even more tuition costs and debt, the GOP plans to redistribute that wealth to the richest of the rich on Wall Street. Hurting the many to help the few who need the least help. That is corporate welfare and class war, in my opinion.
And Republican candidates have already started selling the talking points.
This week, two Republican senatorial candidates were the latest to push this secret subsidy for Wall Street. Washington's Dino Rossi and Mark Kirk in Illinois were obviously working from the same playbook, since they made almost identical points while declaring their opposition to this year's student-loan reform. "You know, part of the takeover of government has been part of the student loans," said Rossi. "I don't think that we should adopt legislation that the Congress has moved forward to have a complete government takeover of all student loans," said Kirk.

Yes, it's a scary "Government takeover!" of a Government program! If that sounds stupid and contradictory to you, it's because it is.
I advise one and all to read the full article by Richard (RJ) Eskow over at HuffPo, and tell every young person you meet about it too. The GOP plans to push students and their families deeper into debt so they can give another bailout to the banksters who own them.
What's more, I hope you can help me GOTV and keep these corrupt corporatist bastards like Dino Rossi and Mark Kirk out of office.
If you can, make a donation to Mark Kirk's Democratic Senate opponent Alexi Giannoulias (IL-Sen) and a bunch of other great candidates with our ActBlue page.
And remember when you are engaging YOUNG voters, the GOP wants to push you and your folks deeper in debt so they can help Wall St CEO's buy one more ivory backscratcher.
Peace and LOVE to ALL
