Good morning and welcome. The repair shop will be open this morning. A big thank you to cjb and boatgeek for hosting the last two weeks, with informative articles about their own projects.
This being the final stretch of the crucial GOTV effort to save Democracy, I expect it to be quiet here this morning. I'm in the middle of rebuilding my porch, but I will find time myself to visit with some of my neighbors and encourage them to vote, either now or on election day.
We are fully into Autumn here on the high desert, but still a ways from freezing. The cottonwoods are only beginning to turn color, and we haven't yet made a fire for warmth, still coasting along on the warmth stored in our adobe walls.
That "warmth", still at about 65 degrees, had been "coolth" just a month ago when the outside temps were still hitting 90 and the house felt cool to come in to. Now the same interior temp feels warm, compared to outside.
The "thermal flywheel" in action.
