It's been gratifying to see that Jerry Brown is pulling away from Meg Whitman in the race for California's governor. Most people seem to focus on what Whitman has done wrong -- her troubles with her maid, massive self-funding turning people off.
But credit where credit is due -- Jerry Brown has had some of the best ads of anyone this year. Last week it was the echo ad, where Whitman's statements creepily mirrored those of der Gropenfuhrer. Now there is this one, that made me laugh at how wicked it is.
I was there on the grounds of the Wisconsin state capitol in 1980 when the Francis Ford Coppola-produced Apocalypse Brown event terminated Brown's campaign for president.
So nice to see that isn't the case this year.
