I'm here watching AMC's excellent new series, "The Walking Dead," and I'm reminded of how much Republicans are just like these zombies. Brain-dead, craving more of the same, and seeking to recruit new followers into their walking dead movement.
They don't care about the value of human life, just like zombies.
They don't care about the environment, just like zombies.
They don't care about our health care system, they want insurance companies to feed off our bodies, just like zombies.
They don't care about human rights, just like zombies.
They exist in a state of a divorce from reality about the human condition.
On Halloween night, the only way to drive a stake through their heads is to get out the vote. It's the best way to stop the shambling brain-dead on election eve.
Bring more of our sane voters out there, and it'll change the system for a little while at least. Our government could always use more sanity.
More Republicans wouldn't do that. They're climate zombies.
They're health care zombies.
They're corporation lackeys---and zombies. What's the difference, anyways? Not so much these days.
They're anti-choice zombies.
They're anti-progress zombies.
They live in a state of regression, just like zombies do. They want our government to decompose so that they can have their big, corporate donors feed on its flesh. They don't care about keeping our body politic alive.
After all, they're zombies.
Stop the zombie takeover by getting out the vote. Vote progressive, and help keep our progressive majority in Congress.
That's what it takes to stop the brain-dead from taking over our politics and feeding on our body politic.
