In a past diary I wrote about Oklahoma state question 755. Well it passed and I am expecting deportation off all Muslims in Oklahoma soon. Just kidding about that, however I wonder what is behind the fear based mind set in Oklahoma. Three questions passed here and all appear to be unconstitutional. So for the red bible thumping state, it was a win for those who govern. I am amazed how many who live here feed on the fear. Just scare the b-jesus out of them and they will fall in line like little sheep. Takes the hassle out of supplying them with fact and intellectual basis for any thought process. I said to Grandpa, are you going to pull up those signs in front of the farm today? He said, no I may keep them there till they fade. His way of protesting, both were democrats who lost in this election, they refused to capture the vote with fear. Below are the questions that passed, go figure.
I just want to add that these questions that follow have cost the Oklahoma tax payers money to bring to a vote, now it will cost money to defend the ignorance.
In the Tulsa World When Oklahomans filled out their ballots Tuesday, they made feelings about state Question 751 clear. The English-only question passed with 76 percent of the vote.
The same goes for State Question 746.
Seventy-four percent of voters said yes to requiring photo ID's when voting. When Oklahomans filled out their ballots Tuesday, they made feelings about state Question 751 clear. The anger of people cannot impose a restriction on the freedom of other people," said James Thomas, University of Tulsa law professor.
In the article above he states he feels that the people of Oklahoma are angry. I think they are being consumed by fear. Oklahoma media feeds them a strong diet of it. I can't tell you how many of my neighbors are preparing for some kind of doom scenario. They have gone past tornado preparations, to full blown survival mode. From stocking food to medicine to guns, you find them everywhere in this state. They plan to "bug out". They think that no one will find them. I just am trying to figure out who is coming to get them? Yes, you got it's the government, our government.
Now for the big one, the Sharia law, of course it passed. It is widely known here that a judge in New Jersey used Sharia law instead of our US law in this case. State question 755 is protecting all women in Oklahoma from this law. I took a small census and was unable to find any local Muslim farmers here in my area. I also looked for any one who spoke another language, no luck. Everyone I talked to had an ID except for the survivalist down the road, they sent their social security cards and drivers licences back to the government. (Not a joke on that one) I guess they won't be voting. They are ready though, one Sunday a month they have target practice on the farm. Nothing like the ring of automatic weapons and what the other neighbor and I think sounds like some kind of grenade launcher.
From local media to Fox news to red politicians, they have created a monster in this state. What are they going to do to control it? Read a post from another okie who said, the people had spoke and how happy she was with the voter turn out here. If your state was speaking like this how safe would you feel?
That is the update here from the farm in the red state. Republican ran state out of control. I am heading out to milk the goats and plan to ask them what they think. Then it is off to the feed store, have to talk to Grandpa about the bumper stickers on the truck, makes me feel like a moving target.
