Minerva1157 needs some help. She lost her husband last year and, as a widow, has a much, much lower retirement income than she had when he was still living (she took early retirement at her husband’s insistence when he retired). It isn’t enough to make ends meet. Complicating the issue is age (she is 53) and the fact that she is currently disabled until a shoulder is repaired by surgery.
She is about to lose her vehicle and then her house.
Minerva1157 needs $4900 by 11/15 to retain her vehicle – the bank is demanding the full amount owing because it was purchased in her late husband’s name. She has already sold anything of value that she has. Can we help her save it? She may lose the house but having wheels is going to be important. She lives in Minnesota and having reliable transportation is important – especially with the snow months upon us.

Are there Kossacks near Hibbing, MN who might know of a place for Minerva1157 to move to or who can help her navigate the social services she is going to need?
Thank you for any help or advice you can provide. If this lady should become homeless, it will be very hard for her to recover her life. If we can stop one person from falling, we have done something worthwhile.
We have raised approximately $3500!
If you can't help financially then do what I have done, host a diary. She urgently needs all the help we can offer her. I know times are hard for everyone. Even a little can help a lot. Let us all pull together as a community and help Minerva115 through these tough tough times.
You gave on the way a pleasant smile
And thought no more about it.
It cheered a life that had been dark the while
Which might have been wrecked without it.
And so for that smile that was given there,
You'll have a reward sometime-somewhere.
You spoke one day a cheering word,
And passed to other duties.
It cheered a heart; new promise stirred
And painted a life with beauties.
And so for that word of golden cheer,
You'll have a reward sometime-somewhere.
You lent a hand to a fallen one;
lift in love was given.
You saved a soul when hope was gone
And helped him on toward heaven.
and, so for that help you proffered there,
You'll have a reward sometime-somewhere.
