With reference to what has been going on in the last few days with respect to Tax cuts, reduced payroll tax and lowered estate tax:
When the tax cuts become permanent, don't whine to me when services are cut.
When the change social security so that you retire later and with lower benefits I won't hear a word you say.
When the estate tax is abolished I won't give a damn.
How could I be so callous?
Well....
A plurality of Americans agree with the deal.
The Senate has passed HR 4853 by 81 to 19
The House will likely follow shortly.
My opinion is that you have been rolled in batter and deep fried.
Once these have become the reality any return to the old rates will be viewed as a tax increase, it will be so easy to get the MSM to sing this tune as well in 2012.
We shouted loudly that this was a dangerous precedent to set and would be near impossible to turn around in an election year, both my senators Leahy and Sanders headed the call but were drowned out by the bipartisan tax giveaway crowd. I expect my representative Peter Welch will also reject the deal later on.
We pointed out who would benefit the most, and who would eventually pay for this heist and this was met with easy dismissal.
You will have shortly cuts that ensure the disparity between rich and poor will continue to grow at an unprecedented rate. Next year I can only see Austerity measures being implemented so that the middle class will pay for this donation to those who need it the least.
Don't say you were not warned, and don't even bother to talk to me in 2012 as in a bipartisan effort they endeavor to make the cuts permanent, I cant imagine either party 'increasing' taxes in a Presidential election year, can you?
