NPR just reported their summary of the tax bill debate. They played a sound bite from Rep. Barton that it is a bad deal for Republicans because "the tax cuts should be permanent and the spending should be paid for."
How the hell do we get this position in front of every American voter, with the clarifications that it is the estate tax for 6,600 multi-millionaires and income taxes for incomes over $250,000 that have to be permanent, and that the spending that has to be funded is unemployment for the 2 million people without jobs, prospects of jobs or unemployment benefit extension?
I cannot believe that there hasn't been more of a public response to this crap.
I know its not a new subject - but it just hurts to hear such incomplete reporting, even from NPR.
