Granny Doc's quilt top
Our mango suffered a terrible heart attack on New Year's Day. She has lost half her heart function and her main artery is totally blocked. For six weeks, she will be on bed rest before any decision will be made about surgery.
Mango is an expat living in rural Mexico, far away from her internet community. She is feeling very alone and frightened. A "love catcher" community quilt, filled with loving, supportive messages from all of you, will really buck her up as she heals. Shall we do this?
Granny Doc's quilt, basted with pins
What is a love catcher? It is a quilt bearing messages from this community transcribed by me in archival ink on muslin. It contains loving mojo that cannot wash out -- the power of your words of support cannot be overestimated.
ZenTrainer's quilt
I figure the cost of making one of these at $5/message plus shipping. If you would like to contribute funds toward the making of mango's quilt, here is a PayPal link. If you cannot afford to, please leave a message anyway (someone will spot for you!) -- the value of your message to mango is very, very great.

We are back in gear making quilts after the holidays. Granny Doc's is in the process of being quilted. I am transcribing Lt. Choi's messages. We still need a few messages for DaNang65 -- you can leave one for him here. I will put up another diary for DaNang65 if I need more.
