Craig Ferguson, the host of the THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON on CBS, devoted the majority of his monologue tonight to Keith Olbermann, the MSNBC news anchor who was fired earlier this week.

"Keith was the face of MSNBC," Ferguson started, "I never missed it," referring to Olbermann’s nightly news broadcast COUNTDOWN. Ferguson has appeared on COUNTDOWN, and Olbermann has made an appearance on THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON.
Keith Olbermann broke his silence earlier tonight, communicating with fans for the first time since he signed-off the air, surfacing on Twitter by teasing his followers:
A little birdie (or possibly a robot skeleton) advises all #FOK to watch @CraigyFerg tonight (that’s always true, but especially tonight)
#FOK stands for Friends Of Keith.
Craig Ferguson lauded Keith Olbermann tonight calling him, "a broadcaster, first and foremost" and according to Ferguson was, "very good at it." Mentioning Olbermann’s long career in TV broadcasting, starting some 30 years ago at ESPN, Ferguson suggested Keith Olbermann will be back soon. Said Ferguson, "controversial opinions piss people off" and opinions on anything "are going to ruffle feathers."
The late night host couldn’t avoid weaving humor into the Olbermann saga. He showed a photo of Olbermann and said that the anchor got a "little grabby" when they appeared together. Ferguson suggested as a replacement for Olbermann — "J-Lo." He also hoped that all this publicity won’t give Keith a "big-head," but then mused that he already had a "big-head, not metaphorically."
Craig Ferguson wrapped up the Keith Olbermann story by analyzing the history of cable TV.
"MSNBC spins you left, Fox News spins you right and MTV spins you right round right round spin you right round, baby, right round."
