A week or two ago someone wrote a diary with a link to a fun test to see how Renaissance you are and after taking it and showing my wife she told me that it reminded her a little bit of this personality test she took when she was younger. So, I found a short version of the personality test online and I was surprised at how much the results described me!
My personality type is Extraverted iNtuitive Thinking Perceiving or ENTP.
After some searching I found some other websites with more descriptions of the my personality type:

My personality type is often described as the inventor or visionary. Very true about me. I make video games that utilize bio-feedback. They are played by kids with ADHD and Austism and people with PTSD, especially soldiers.
My wife is the author(INFJ). She's working on a degree in Anthropolgy. My brother, who works with me and is our roommate, is the scientist(INTJ). He's got his degree in Computer Science, Math and Physics and he's going back for an Astronomy graduate degree next year if he can squeeze it in. We all get along really well, but only because we have over the years learned to accept and appreciate our differences.
I can see how my personality affects my politics. I am very results driven. I don't really care about ideology. I care about helping people. I don't care about an idea. I care about the results from implementing the idea. If it works, good for the people it helps. If it doesn't work, stop using it. If the reality is that it can't work, stop trying to use it until that reality changes. Or focus on changing that reality. It's all really very practical for me.
But I see my own limits because I've been married to my wife, who's very idealistic, for 10 years and I have seen my limits and how her strengths compensate for them and vice/versa. I've seen the same working with my brother for over 9 years. I have strengths but I also have very big limits. I need others who are different and they need me.
I wonder if we here in the Daily Kos community could get along better and therefore accomplish more together if we learned to accept and appreciate our differences instead of dividing over them. I think we could.
What is your personality? How do you think it affects your approach to politics?
UPDATE:
Read President Obama's personality type. It's fascinating!!
