Because everyone else is break in' the rules tonight.
And by everybody else I mean like maybe a few other people on the Recent Diaries list. So blame them, not me.
Or blame me. I don't care.
Hey, can you have strike throughs in diary titles in DK3? Let's find out!
Oh, I guess not :(
Today I went to the store to buy tea. I stopped in a Chinese Herbalist shop because, as everyone knows, the Chinese are pretty smrt when it comes to tea. I bought some pills for high blood pressure while I was there, too.
But when I got home and looked the stuff up online, it didn't say anything about being good for high blood pressure. Just stronger, longer erections and super charging a man's sperm.
Needless to say, I'll be keeping that bottle of little red pills!
The other day, I bought a kazoo at the dollar store. It was broken :(
I also bought a harmonica while I was there. It worked, but the edges were all jagged and I cut my upper lip. Ouch!
Tonight I was digging around in my pantry when I noticed an old box of Cheerios. The box said it came with a Batman: The Dark Knight toy. I don't like Cheerios, so that's probably why I bought them in the first place.
Well, I like Honey Nut Cheerios. Do they still make those?
Anyway, it sure did have a Batman toy in it. It doesn't really do anything, though... it just makes little jerk off motions with it's one hand. I think it's supposed to be a karate chop motion, but it sure don't look like it.
I like white rice.
You know what somebody needs to invent? A chin rest. Sometimes, it's just so hard to keep your head up. Or maybe I'm just incredibly lazy or don't sleep enough.
Irregardless isn't actually a word, but it damn sure is tempting to say it anyway.
I'm so happy that they're keeping Dick Grayson on as Batman, even though Bruce is back. Batman comics have been pretty awesome ever since Grant Morrison started writing them and controlling the direction of the Bat-books a few years back.
And damnit, I liked Final Crisis. Sure it didn't make any god damn sense, but it was cool that at least he made the New Gods into actual gods, rather than just Super Herooooos.... innnn... Spaaaaace.
You know what the best video game ever is? God Hand. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a damn fool!
Heres a trailer:
I have no idea if that'll work because I'm typing this on an iPad.
I'm almost out of ketchup.
I keep mentioning food. If you can't guess, I'm writing this in my kitchen.
I like to leave my garage open just a crack at night just in case any poor critters are stuck out in the cold and don't have anywhere to sleep.
I wish those poor, cold critters would stop peeing in my garage.
I lost 5 pounds in the last week and a half. I've lost 15 pounds since mid-December-ish. The other day I finally stepped on the scale. I had been afraid to do it because I figured I had gained a ton of weight. Turns out, I weighed less that I thought I would! Maybe I SHOULD go to the doctor.
But I don't have health insurance.
I do need to refill my blood pressure prescription, though.
Last week I learned that my girlfriend has never seen the original Star Wars trilogy??? Even more, she doesn't know about "Luke, I am your father..."
I'm still trying to figure out how this happened, but needless the say, the movies are on their way from Netflix.
HandBrake sure is a nice program.
I am not buying a Blu Ray player, though. I'll just wait for digital distribution.
Of course, that would require the Telecom industry to upgrade their fucking lines. It boils my blood when I see them tought 25-50mbps and acting like that's fast.
Meanwhile, Japan and Korea are getting between 250-300mbps.
I wasn't born at the time, but it seems to me that there was once a time in America where we encouraged people to get a higher education and become doctors, lawyers and scientists so that we could go to the moon.
Today though, we seem content to just settle for, "Just graduate high school and join the military. It's good enough".
Ale Garza is a really good artist.
Back in early December, I bought a bunch of new furniture. A week after I paid for it, though, my hours at work were cut down from 40+ hours a week to 30.
The following week they were at 24.
The week after that, 12. They've been there ever since.
I just need to know... does that kind of rotten luck happen to anyone else, or is it just me? That seems to happen a lot to me.
Speaking of spending money, I ordered flowers for Valentines day the other day. The bouquet I selected cost $40. Yet somehow, after taxes, fees, delivery charges and a vase, I ended up spending $71. What the hell, ProFlowers??
My top 5 favorite movies are:
- Ghostbusters
- The Hudsucker Proxy
- The Incredibles
- Spirited Away
- Gremlins 2
I also really like The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.
In June, I got fired from my previous job. Don't worry, it was fine. It was a terrible place to work. It's the only place I've ever worked at where I was called, among other things, a cunt, a faggot, an asshole. It's also a good thing because when I was being yelled at for not adding spaces between ellipses, there was a good chance that there would be a mixture of blood and spittle spraying on me because my former boss had really bad teeth.
I hung the letter confirming I was fired on my wall.
I am staring at a bottle of Blueberry syrup. Next to it is a bottle of mustard.
I don't think they'll really kill Spider-Man in the upcoming Death of Spider-Man.
Most people don't know that when you write Spider-Man, it's spelled Spider-Man, not Spiderman. This is wrong.
I am looking forward to The Stroke's new album. I don't really look forward to albums anymore, thanks to iTunes. I just buy select singles, mostly. Of course, I blame this more on the music industry and their inability to release anything worthwhile in the last 3 years.
Although the other day, I learned about a group called Saint Privat. I really like them. I did buy their album.
On iTunes.
I probably shouldn't use iTunes. But damnit, it's easier than using BitTorrent sometimes.
...sometimes...
Speaking of, I was reading about the Darkweb. I played around on it for a bit too with the Tor browser. I think I'm going to stay off of it .I'll stick to my regular porn sites, thankyouverymuch.
I wish Kevin Smith would make good movies again. Christ, that religious movie looks terrible. Can't be any worse than Cop Out, though.
Man, that Green Lantern movie is going to be awful, too. I don't think there are any good movies coming out this summer. All the Super Bowl commercials looked awful.
Well, maybe Super 8.
Wait, no. I remember seeing a commercial for an animated movie. I can't remember the name of it, though. It looked good.
If you can't tell, I really like comic books. I used to self publish and web publish (lol) my own comic, but eventually it started to feel like work, rather than fun. Since work, by definition, can never be fun, I stopped doing it. I still want to do it, though... but when I try to draw even 4 years later, I just can't do it anymore. I guess I haven't gotten over it yet. Too bad :(
I sometimes have this dream where the entire fate of the planet depends on me. It's up to me to save it. All I have to do is properly spell the word "nessicarily" for someone.
The world always explodes.
Speaking of Haruhi Suzumiya, I'm so glad that volume 10 is finally coming out in May, after years or waiting.
I'm looking forward to the GoNintendo.com site revision.
I'm also looking forward to Daily Kos 4. I eagerly await the opportunity to write more diaries about John Edwards ^_^
If you don't like Daily Kos 4.0, you should try seeing the Gawker network's revisions. Christ, I can never visit Kotaku again, I don't think. I mean, you can complain all you want about DK4, but at least it doesn't look like Gawker.
