No siree. We have a plan. Because it's clear that the Federal Reserve is going to bury the dollar. So South Carolina is getting ready. Thank goodness we have forward thinkers like State Senator Lee Bright. Are you sensing an oxymoron?
State Sen. Lee Bright, R-Roebuck, has introduced legislation that backs the creation of a new state currency that could “protect the financial stability of South Carolina”, just in case the Federal Reserve System falls apart.
So, he’s called for a commission to study a way for SC to have an alternative. As he says,“If folks lose faith in the dollar, we need to have some kind of backup.”
“The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that the states may adopt whatever currency they desire for the purposes of performing their sovereign governmental functions, even to the extent of adopting gold and silver coin for those purposes while refusing to employ a currency not redeemable in gold or silver coin that Congress has designated ‘legal tender.'...” his legislation states.
His legislation goes on to state that “many widely recognized experts predict the inevitable destruction of the Federal Reserve System's currency through hyper-inflation." So, we’re all atingle here in SC – for our new currency, which could consist of gold or silver (or both!)
This from the guy who said, “If at first you don't secede, try again,”
South Carolina. The land of never-ending amusement.
