Don't get excited, guys. I'm not jumping the gun. This is a test -- a dry run, if you will.
Of course, it's not WYFP?, even in dry run, without our boilerplate:
WYFP is our community's Saturday evening gathering to talk about our problems, empathize with one another, and share advice, pootie pictures, favorite adult beverages, and anything else that we think might help. Everyone and all sorts of troubles are welcome. May we find peace and healing here. Won't you please share the joy of WYFP by recommending?
This is strictly to test the entire notion of a queue. Don't ask how it works -- I haven't a bloody clue, and I'm endeavouring to find out. No need to rec, tip, or comment. Just don't beat me if it doesn't work....
In other words, save it for Saturday night, guys!
____
Ahem.
The results are in.
I officially dub the queue thing Very Cool.
Here's the deal, guys: write your diary whenever. Hit the Publication Manager bar, above the diary draft. You'll get a drop-down menu. You can publish immediately, or you can set an auto-publish time, or you can queue it to the group. Be sure you are a member and are following the group! That's crucial to being able to write for/queue in WYFP?
Once you've got it in queue, you can still go in and make changes. That's what I'm doing right now. And, you can set your auto-publish time. I set this one for 9 PM EST tonight. Cool, huh? :-D
Now let's see if it works.... If it doesn't, you'll find me in the latest Cranky Users diary, bitching, kvetching, pissing and moaning from now until I get it figured out.
