Undaunted by their puppet's epic failure at message control, the Koch Brothers are using their propaganda mouthpiece Americans for Prosperity to launch a huge media campaign in Wisconsin over the next week. Part of the Walker-Koch coordinated effort to break the will of the people and Democrats, Americans for Prosperity has spent $342,200 on ad buys that will run on network and cable channels across the state starting tomorrow and continuing through March 1st.

Who decides Wisconsin's future, voters or government unions? Wisconsin voted for fiscal sanity and balanced budgets, but government workers fight to keep benefits far better than the private sector, Democratic legislators refuse to show up for their jobs, hiding out in other states, and incredibly, President Obama backs the union bosses and floods Wisconsin with out of state political protesters, Governor Walker has the courage to do what's right for Wisconsin.
Stand with Walker.
Let's break this down.
"Who decides Wisconsin's future, voters or government unions?"
Contrary to corporate beliefs, government unions are formed by citizens, who also happened to have the vote. While I can understand our oligarchy overlords dismay over citizens expressing their right to assembly and redress, this is democracy in action.
It is also without irony that Americans for Prosperity does not mention that corporate money was funneled into Wisconsin to engineer the election of Governor Walker. So guess a better question would be:
Who decides Wisconsin's future, citizens or corporate interests?
"Wisconsin voted for fiscal sanity and balanced budgets, but government workers fight to keep benefits far better than the private sector"
Since the government workers have agreed to take a cut in benefits and pay, they, too are for fiscal sanity and balanced budget. But Governor Walker is about denying citizens to right of economic assembly into unions, especially if the citizens of that union want to collectively bargain.
Governor Walker has show, and said in a certain telephone interview, this is about busting unions, not the budget. Otherwise, why would he have agreed to all those corporate tax cuts?
And as for the benefits for government workers being far greater than the private sector, who would want to be an economic serf to the corporate aristocracy? If anything, private sector workers should be unionizing to get the same benefits as the government workers. Any modern democracy has embraced this, from Japan to Germany. Americans for Prosperity, and especially David Koch who funds the operation, want all Americans to be wage slaves without economic redress.
"Democratic legislators refuse to show up for their jobs, hiding out in other states"
Actually, these Democrats finally found their backbone and have allowed for this bill to be reviewed by the public at large. There were so many hidden gems in it that the Republicans tried to get passed that it's a good thing these Democrats didn't show up.
"President Obama backs the union bosses and floods Wisconsin with out of state political protesters, Governor Walker has the courage to do what's right for Wisconsin."
This is some wild projecting here. It is a fact that Americans for Prosperity bussed in Tea Party members from several states, only to still be dwarfed by actual citizens of Wisconsin supporting the union members.
And speaking of Americans for Prosperity, all of their money comes out of state from Kansas via the Koch Brothers. The only one in Wisconsin that is part of their corporate cabal is Governor Walker himself.
This is a classic example of Republicans attacking with their weakness.
It is also, as a whole, a pretty piss poor piece of propaganda. I can almost hear the collective groans across Wisconsin as the litany of lies is played on their tvs in an endless loop.
All paid for by out of state corporate interests, so Wisconsin doesn't vote its own.
