The list of items banned from the Wisconsin Capitol building is somewhat astounding. Easels? Crockpots? Massage Chairs? Vuvuzelas. Easy to understand how things like that would be threatening to Scott Walker and his Republican sidekicks. But Guns? Yes. Wisconsonians are forbidden from carrying their beloved deer rifles when visiting the Governor and/or their legislators.
When I read the ridiculous list of items now banned from the State Capitol, I immediately called the Wisconsin Capitol police to find out whether firearms are banned from the Capitol. Yep, they are.
Republicans claim they hate gun control almost as much as they hate women having control of their sex lives. How ironic that they do business in a building that is practically the epicenter of gun control in the State.
I asked the nice lady who answered the phone at the Capitol whether the Governor and legislative Republicans have any plans to unleash Second Amendment Freedoms in the heart of deer country. She said no.
So here we have it. Scott Walker is opposed to gun control when someone may bring guns around ordinary citizens. But he is the major beneficiary of gun control that keeps people from bringing their guns anywhere near him.
I'm astounded. This Republican is a hypocrite.
