Glad to see NPR sticks to their guns like Democrats in Congress, or the White House for that matter. Why is that every time James O'Keefe releases a gotcha video the center-left or Democrats trip over themselves trying to resign?
NPR exec calls Tea Party racist

WASHINGTON — An NPR executive was captured on hidden camera calling the Tea Party movement racist and xenophobic and says NPR would be better off without federal funding.
The video was posted Tuesday on the website for James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas. O’Keefe is the conservative activist whose previous hidden-camera videos embarrassed the community-organizing group ACORN.
The network said Tuesday it was appalled by the comments of Ron Schiller, who announced last week he was stepping down as president of the NPR Foundation.
An NPR spokeswoman says there is no connection between the video and Schiller’s departure.
Bullshit on so many accounts.
First off, I am sure the full video will come out in a week or two, and we will be appalled we were appalled. I am getting real sick and tired of anyone who even appears vaguely liberal backing down at the slightest slight by the Republican Attack Machine.
James O'Keefe is a third-rate propagandist who serves corporate masters, we've all seen his game tape. Repeatedly. Over and over again.
Now, besides the fact that some two-bit Goebbels was involved, let's see what the guy said.
Is the Tea Part racist?
Yeah, see, I got videos, too. These were just the tip of a huge ugly racist/xenophobic iceberg known as the Tea Party.
Here's a taste from Wisconsin:
These truths are very unfortunate:
Now, let's get to the funding issue.
First interview with NPR CEO Vivian Schiller on Juan Williams firing
By Rodney Ho, Atlanta Constitution-Journal
Q: Could NPR live without federal funding?
A: Let’s go on a sidebar. There’s a misperception about federal funding and public radio. There’s the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. They receive $90 million a year and a vast majority goes to member public radio stations. Those stations pull in more than $1 billion collectively a year. It’s significant and important but not even close to the lion’s share of revenues for public radio. NPR gets no allocation from CPB. Zero. We are a private 501(c)3. We’ve had journalists call up and ask what department of the government we report to. That’s laughable. Have you listened to our shows? We do apply for competitive grants from the likes of the Ford Foundation and the Knight Foundation. As a result, some money from CPB does come to us when we win grants. Depending on the year, it represents just one to three percent of our total budget.
Q: What is your annual budget?
A: $160 million a year from station fees and dues, corporate underwriting, philanthropic contributions from individuals and corporation and earned income and earnings from our endowment.
So there you have it, and I think it's also laughable that NPR is a "leftist" news outlet at all. It's more centric, and honestly, center-right, in its presentation and editorial choices.
But yet again, Jame O'Keefe, of ACORN pimping and of Louisiana Senator wiretapping fame has yet another turkey in the bag.
All because supposed "liberals" have no backbone and are afraid to defend the truth they are telling the people.
Bullshit, all the way around.
