Ever wanted to yell at 300 billionaires and millionaires who wrecked the economy, and tell them to pay their damn taxes like everybody else?
We did just that yesterday, in New York City.
More below the fold.
This was the first investors' conference that Bank of America held in three years, since the economic meltdown (that their disastrous policies helped cause, which we bailed them out for). Bank of America knows who we are- I know, because their marketing people called my cell the day before our nationwide day of action against BofA on February 26th.
BofA is running scared, because they know we're growing and expanding, and that their customers are starting to withdraw their money from their bank as the days go on. They even scheduled a decoy conference location, which our NYC organizers bought hook, line and sinker. We thought they had us that day. We were convinced they beat us. We were about to go home, dejected, defeated, until one last person showed up and said,
"So are we doing this or aren't we?"
Turns out, there was an extra suit for this guy to wear. Turns out, we had a couple of decoy BofA Investor badges to wear so we could get into the conference. Turns out, we still had our giant "TAX DODGER" banner that we were intending to unravel in front of BofA CEO Brian Moynihan.
And at the very end of the day, the day was won.
Click the above link for some epic guerilla-style pwnage of BofA yesterday by two brave souls in NYC. Send it to everyone you know.
The people have had enough of the plutocrats ruining our Democracy and getting nothing but rewards from our leaders in return. We aren't waiting for anyone in Washington to act, or any legislation to take months to get to the president's desk and get watered down like a child's vitamin in the process.
We, the people, are taking it upon ourselves to get in the streets and speak out against corporate tax dodgers- their greed is a direct cause of these unnecessary, brutal, cruel budget cuts in Wisconsin, Ohio, and just about every other state.
Our next national day of action is this Saturday, March 12. Go to http://www.usuncut.org to get started. Or send me an email at usuncut@gmail.com if you'd like to know more.
Solidarity,
