So now the NY Times tells us that P.J. Crowley, the lone voice of reason in this administration, has resigned for saying what everyone should be saying: that Bradley Manning's treatment in detention has been "ridiculous and counterproductive and stupid." This man has blown the whistle on our war crimes, which should have earned him a reward. He is, instead, being subjected to isolation, forced nakedness, sleep deprivation, and God knows what else. Complaints by his lawyer have been ignored.
Hillary Clinton accepted Crowley's resignation "with regret" after BHO publicly defended Manning's conditions as necessary. Tell that to Amnesty International, which has the U.S. on its list for human rights abuse in this case. It's time for people to speak out: email and/or fax the White House, the State Department, and your congressional representatives. Post your views on Twitter and Facebook, and join Amnesty International in protesting this abomination.
