So, Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald was on Fox News (Greta Van Susteren) on Tuesday night and let slip that he didn't have the votes if they re-voted on killing collective bargaining.
Fox moved quickly to bury this newsworthy item.
This is the official Fox News transcript and here is relevent quote from Fitzgerald:
FITZGERALD: You know the legislature is always very tentative. There are so many different factors that out there in trying to bring this together.
Except that's not what he said. Not even close. Here's what Fitzgerald actually said:
Greta, you know that the legislature is always very tentative, and you may have the votes on one day and then you don't on the next
.
Fox CLEARLY attempted to hide Fitzgerald's revealing comments. Fox also did not post the video on their website, which is typical of most Van Susterin interviews.Luckily Crooks and Liars taped the show:
Fox has good reason to be worried: I've heard from some several high-level sources that recall Senators Kapanke, Cowles and Olsen would change their votes if they re-voted on the measure, while the other recall senators would vote the same way.
