The protests in Wisconsin are all good and well, but it would be better to not elect Republican Governors in the first place. The Washington State Democrats are raising money to place the below ad linking Attorney General Rob McKenna to Scott Walker in The Seattle Times. McKenna is the presumptive Republican nominee for governor. We could really use your help.

At a Republican Dinner in Bellevue Wednesday night, Mckenna responded to the ad, which ran in The Olympian.
"Collective bargaining is a right. It's not the problem. The problem is politicians who give away too much at the bargaining table"
You see, it's not the collective bargaining that's the problem, it the fact that it is effective in protecting the interests of workers.
According to The Seattle Times' interpretation of McKenna's comments (The Times is completely unreliable on all things McKenna, as they are head over heals in love with him),
McKenna said he would not replicate Walker's attempt to undo collective bargaining rights.
In Washington, Republicans are working on a bill to undo existing union contracts with state employees. Trust me on this, a Governor McKenna would sign such a bill.
As evidence for that, I submit the Attorney General's stance on his lawsuit to overturn healthcare reform. McKenna has been saying he doesn't want all of the health care bill repealed, just the unconstitutional parts. Yet the papers he filed with the court ask for, and actually received in Florida, a summary judgement to throw the entire bill out.
A teabagger at heart, McKenna nevertheless somehow manages to maintain a reputation as a moderate, even after comments like this
"The grassroots movement reflected in the Tea Party is exactly what this country is about. [snip] "Fewer regulations, fewer burdens upon our employers is what the Tea Party's about. It's an economic movement, a fiscal movement. We get that. The lefties don't get that."
Yup. Anti-union, anti health care reform, pro Tea Party. Thats what we are up against in Washington. We need to stop this guy. Can you help? $25 would be just perfect.
