Aparrently Wally Herger has been busy these past few weeks. Kinda makes you wish he would return to his "back bench".
Herger's attack on seniors.
Health Subcommittee Chairman Wally Herger, R-Calif., and Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Charles Boustany Jr., R-La., said they plan to press AARP over its insurance products, revenues, governance, and lobbying expenditures.
The AARP responds in The Hill.
"AARP has a long-standing and good working relationship with Congress and we look forward to appearing before the Committee on behalf of our millions of members, and the entire 50+ population, on April 1st," spokesperson Drew Nannis said in a statement. "AARP is committed to transparency, and the hearing will provide us yet another opportunity to answer any questions as we continue to be a champion for the wants and needs of Americans 50-plus."
Herger's attack on women.
HR 361, the Abortion Non-Discrimination ACT, co-sponsered by Herger would protect the rights of hospitals, pharmacies, and health workers to discriminate against anyone on religious grounds.
The California Catholic Conference, the public policy arm of the state’s bishops, has issued an “action alert” urging Catholics to contact their representatives in Congress and ask them to co-sponsor the Abortion Non-Discrimination Act.
The GOP attacks families and unions.
Thank you Nancy.
And finally, The GOP doing what they do.
Bringing home the bacon
