There's another one on the Rec list, this time referring to Eric Holder as "lazy."
Last time it was all about how Obama isn't management material.
If critics of the black leaders in the Obama administration wish to be taken more seriously, they would do well to quit using the racist stereotypes used by our political enemies.
Eric Holder is not lazy.
His career puts all of ours to shame.
People can criticize Holder for his policies, but leave the racist stereotypes about "laziness" out of it. We don't need to pollute the dialogue with that sort of stuff.
Likewise, everyone should think long and hard before emasculating Obama's leadership ability. That kind of thing comes with a lot of historical baggage, and when it's not particularly applicable, it comes off sounding pretty dubious. Obama is a strong leader/manager, even if we don't necessarily like where he's taking us.
Those two stereotypes about black leaders are dog whistles and they risk dividing the Progressive base even more than it already is.
Stick to the facts. Leave the racist stereotypes where they belong - in the Tea Party.
