The Locals are mad -- most of them.
This time they're mad at Republicans. It's the Dems who ARE speaking up at Townhalls, this time.

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams -- April 25, 2011
The People are watching.
The People know what the Ryan Plan is ALL about ... and most of us DON'T Like it!
THAT is becoming patently clear ...
Republican Lawmakers Face Angry, Confused Constituents on Medicare, Budget Cuts
By Huma Khan, abcnews.go.com -- April 25, 2011
"What you're seeing is an awakening, so to speak, of the majority of Americans who are now concerned about the budget priorities of the Republican Party," said Donna Brazile, a Democratic political strategist and interim chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. "This attempt by Republicans to cut the deficit on the backs of seniors and middle-class Americans is producing the same level of backlash that we saw last year when people took to town hall meetings to express their disapproval of the health care bill."

In an ABC News poll released this week, 65% of Americans said they opposed changing Medicare to a system in which the government would give older Americans vouchers with which to buy private insurance.
Six-Five Percent oppose it.
Here, Chris Matthews, Howard Fineman, and David Korn discuss the Republican strategy to run from the Ryan Plan as quietly as they can, and try to head back to the "Govt is Broke" message (if they still can). And be rid of the Ryan Medicare albatross ...
Hardball: Town hall attendees target Ryan’s budget -- April 25, 2011

Hah! MSNBC's Chris Matthews asked some tough Lemming questions ...
roughly quoting some of the highlights:
Why are they going to be voting against Medicare like a Lemmings?
...
They all have 'dodges' now ... like this only effects those less than 55 years old -- but even older People -- have children ... and young People -- well They have Parents!
...
But will they vote with the 'Republican Lemming Line' ?
David Korn:
Guess what the Republicans are acting like -- Republicans! They're squeezing the elderly and the poor, to make room for Tax Cut to the Rich.
This is a Gift to Democrats.
They note that Democrats have a grand opportunity to turn the tables on the Republicans due to all the local Outrage at the Ryan Plan's attempt to turn Medicare into a Voucher program ...
Question is: Will Dems make the most of the Opportunity?
And perhaps challenge Republicans "Do you want to Cut Medicare too, like Paul Ryan wants to do?"
Perhaps these additional Poll results will give Elected Dems the "courage" they need to go on the Offensive ...
It's kind of a no-brainer ...
Polls Show Dangers For GOP In Pushing Ryan's Medicare Privatization Plan
Jon Terbush, TPMDC -- April 22, 2011
One thing is clear about Medicare: Americans overwhelmingly oppose spending cuts.
78% of respondents in the Washington Post poll said they opposed such cuts, versus 21% who supported cutting Mediare spending.
A McClatchy-Marist poll released earlier this week found a similar split, with 80% opposed to Medicare and Medicaid cuts compared to 18% in favor,
as did a January CNN poll in which 81% of adults opposed cuts to Medicare versus 18% who supported them as a way to reduce the deficit.
Maybe Elected Dems can borrow the "courage" they need to go on the offense, from the average people that they represent ...
The Ed Schultz team does a fine job of finding some of those most courageous citizens out there, speaking out ... trying to take OUR Country back from the Rich, who have driven it {our opportunities} into the ground. After taking the Money, and running ...
The Ed Show: Ryan Townhalls -- April 26, 2011
Nice one Ed,
The Ryan Plan Path to Prosperity, should really be called 'Path to the Poorhouse' ...
80% of the Americans want to Leave Medicare the way it is.
Eighty Percent.
Will 80% translate into Dems standing up for the rest of us ...
the other 98% percent of us, trying like hell, just to get by.
Will the Ryan Lemmings charge off that Medicare Cliff, with him?
Maybe not ... if Dems make it absolutely clear WHAT is really at stake:
That Seniors will be thrown to the Free Market, to have to "negotiate" the best plan they can get, from those for-profit Insurance Companies;
-- IF Paul Ryan gets his way.
That should be enough to stop that GOP Lemming charge, right in its tracks.
Eighty Percent of Americans have spoken. Will Elected Dems, do the same?
To Make the People's Position clear.
