A couple of months ago, I asked for input about my new "Nose Work Dogs" website, in this diary.
I got a lot of good feedback. I mostly read, "Add some pictures to the home page."
So, I stopped fussing about the font, and I started thinking about images.
I grabbed some images from online, and tweaked them a bit with a photo editor - an example is the 'line o noses' in the header. While I was fussing, I changed the basic color. That green was a bit striking.
I needed more photos, and hey. I had them. But it felt funny to base my home page on someone else's images.
So, the last night of class, I brought my camera to class. Finally, I guess - but it's hard to teach AND take pictures! REALLY!
I grabbed photos for most of one round of Nose Work - I've added 10 photos to my first "Gallery" on the site.
My home page now has two of my gallery photos - and - in my opinion, it's going to take some doing to top my 'top' (first) photo, of Maggie gazing into the carton. And it has a video montage of all of my students. Hopefully I'll be able to replace that with a better one...
But I like it: NoseWorkDogs.Com
Thank you to everyone who provided input on my earlier version of Nose Work Dogs! I didn't forget, and I look forward to making it even better, in the future.
