Get ready. This will be the best thing to come from this entire manufactured "controversy" from Fox News.
Politico is reporting that Jon accepted the challenge to a duel.

But the late-night comedian has agreed to appear on “The O'Reilly Factor” to debate the controversy surrounding rapper Common's recent appearance at the White House.
On Thursday, O'Reilly said on his Fox News program that he would like to debate Stewart on the "Common situation because it's important."
Jon Stewart RIPS and RAPS into Fox News over the Common freakout
As was noted here in a comment recently (I'll dig it up), this may be the first time in a long time, if ever, that the rapper Common has been considered "controversial" [which will not hurt Common's career, but can only help, on the upside]. Anyone with so much as five minutes to read a music review of any of his albums would see that this man's career is quite the opposite.
He is black, though, and therefore scary to Fox News viewers. Plus, they can try to discredit hip-hop by smearing one of its great artists.
One of the great hip-hop jams of all time.
Rapper Q-Tip quipped (alliteration alert) today about doing a record with Common......called "tea party time". Ha.
Another peer speaks up:
Talib Kweli- @RealTalibKweli
I watched Date Night. The lesson? @common is a thug.
here's my question: Why Didn't Obama invite this wonderful caucasian artistinstead of that thug rapper? This kid can rap about Jesus in a powerful way.
