Believe it or not, I'm going to spend a couple of minutes defending a couple of pretty damn indefensible "gentlemen" before going on with diary SOP.
While former CA Governator Ah - nuld the Sperminator (props to long - time blogger buddy & F.O.O. Laura!) might be a pathologically psychotically dishonest $hit who gave into the urge to determine if the 'ol pencil still had lead in it & hid the result from his wife for a decade, to my knowledge, "family values" weren't exactly a part of his official campaign platform. So, at least he ain't a hypocrite!
Next, submitted for your consideration is former bat$hit PA Senator & current bat$hit 2012 POTUS candidate & never served in the military a day in his life Man - on - Dog. Dearie, if you're going to accuse a currently - serving US Senator of not getting how torture works, make sure the Senator you accuse ain't Senator John McCentury! Yes, Senator McCentury turned bat$hit to keep the Senate seat he currently holds, he likes to joke about women being raped, and he's responsible for inflicting "that woman" onto the national political land scape (among other charming attributes), but one part of his life that is not in dispute are the sacrifices he made both physically & mentally to serve this country. Okee - dokee?
It's time for "this day in history." On May 17, 1954, the Supreme Court issued its landmark Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka ruling, which declared that racially segregated public schools were inherently unequal. The scary thought is that we have currently - serving members of Congress who would overturn that decision in...a...heart...beat if given the power & the chance. On this date in 1792, the New York Stock Exchange was founded by brokers meeting under a tree on what is now Wall Street. So, corporations owned this country within 20 years of its founding - NEATO! We never had a chance!
Finally, I say happy birthday to someone who has literally & figuratively saved my life and sanity (such as it is) & probably the lives & sanity of a whole lot of other people! Happy 50th birthday to Enya!!
Now, I got yer SPARK right here! :D Say "buh - bye" to Australian rules terlet habits. :D I guess this is one way to stay young & spry in your advanced years. Finally, I can feel my arteries hardening just READING about this dude!
On with The Rachel Maddow Show!
"New Details on Bin Laden Raid" - Was Stewie Griffin part of SEAL Team 6?! ;D I could give a shoo bee - doobie about code names, but I'm digging the other details!! However, I do not need a review of GWB acolyte attempts at revisionist history - especially a FAUX News coward who volunteered to be water boarded but chickened out. Torture did...not...work in killing OBL; repeat manta daily on that score. DAMN IT! RACHEL GOT INTO MY DIARY DRAFT - AGAIN! THIEF!! ;D Rachel, I can tell you with 100% no doubt that Man - on - Dog will not apologize nor step back from what he said. Country first my a$$!
Michael Isikoff gets Man - on - Dog duty; protect your doggie if you've got one, honey!! KSM gave false information about the all - important courier while he was tortured. Again, I don't care about the changing details of this story for the most part; what I DO care about is that OBL the MoFo is DEAD.
"Immunity Deal?" - YEA - MORE ABOUT LOVERBOY ENSIGN & HIS PIMP 'OL DOC COBURN! Let's get it on, indeed!! :D Poor John Lopez ain't having such a loverly time these days. Doc Coburn keeps getting asked whether he's received immunity for his cooperation with the committee & keeps basically pleading the 5th.
"No Right Answer" - Ain't it fun to watch the GOBP eat their own & each other?! ;D Uh - oh, I might be getting into Man - on - Dog territory again - better quit while I'm ahead...or behind...or...well...NEVER MIND!! ;D Do y'all want a parliamentary - type system in this country? All this shtick would be so much easier if y'all just put me in charge & did whatever I said. ;D The official "conservative" bona fides test is reaction to the Rep. Paul Ryan kill Medicare budget plan. ALL RIGHT!
The GOBP & assorted ilk have had to spend a $hit load of coin in NY - 26 because of Rep. Paul Ryan. Rep. Ryan should fork over a little of his coin, don't cha' think?! He's decided to not run for WI's open Senate seat. Yea, he's having way too much fun & is doing just fine influence - wise right where he is, thank you very much. Me thinks Chris Hayes will have some fun with this topic! :D Chris doesn't think Newtie had a chance in Hades of winning the POTUS election anyway. Most of the "respectable" GOBP potential 2012 candidates are waiting out the bat$hit before they make their announcements.
"Glass Houses" - Ya' know, Rachel, the least you could've done if your plan was to "creatively acquire" most of my diary draft for your show was to decide to follow me on Twitter; it's not too late, ya' know! Just look for @FOOLeader!! ;D While we're agreeing about the level of hypocrisy between the Sperminator & Newtie, et al, I think we're interpreting differently what Ah - nuld said to Salon. Gail Collins is in studio to chat up GOBP "extra curricular activities."
"TRMS Best New Thing in the World Today" - 1 of Rachel's staff got to see Endeavor blast off for the last time! :D OK, tonight's edition was pretty cool.
