Which is difficult, because this guy goes on forever and has apparently taken out a lease on cable news as well as Congress. Its' embarrassing to think that the Congress which has been so rude to our President sits there and panders to a man who's primary interest in this address is to undermine our sitting President.
I support Obama completely, I do not always agree with him. I don't even agree with him on his non-support of a U.N. vote on Palestinian statehood. However, I find it completely offensive that Congress has allowed itself to be used as a wedge for Israel in on an important international issue that effects national security.
This invitation was offered to by Republicans to Netanyahu as a ploy to increase their status with AIPAC, and was timed to coincide with President Obama's absence. It's shameful and I'm embarrassed.
I've been watching and haven't seen anyone broach the subject. Why aren't we up in arms over this?
One consolation, the respect and popularity of our President and his much-needed ability to raise the approval of America world-wide demonstrates the stark difference between the two leaders. Hopefully, this will be noted in the media's reaction to this event.
