AZ State Sen. Russell Pearce likes to throw around the “A” word. That’s right--Anarchists. If you listen to Russell Pearce you would think AZ is full of anarchists. If you’ve ever watched any of his interviews about SB1070 you will notice he gets a little excited, out of control, while talking, spewing, about the immigration issue. His eyes get glassy and he sputters while spitting out his rabid racism. His rhetoric is just as vile.
He calls people that think SB1070 is racial profiling anarchists in an interview with Neil Cavuto.

In an interview with Stossel, Pearce also called the mayor of Phoenix, Phil Gordon, an “anarchist”.

His latest anarchist charge is leveled at the people who submitted enough petitions Tuesday that will make him the first AZ Senator ever officially recalled as soon as the signatures are verified.
"This is the recall cartel," Pearce told FOX News' Greta Van Susteren. "Far-left anarchists. They're after Joe Arpaio, Sheriff Joe. They're the folks who are against all enforcement. They've gone after me with extreme measures and distortions. It's sad."
The only sad thing is that Pearce could be elected sixteen times.

"My district has elected me. I'm 16-0, and I'm not going to let these extremists, the recall cartel, take over the state of Arizona and defame the success we've had," he said.

Once the petitions are returned to the Secretary of State's Office, Pearce would be notified whether he has been recalled. He would have until Aug. 19 to resign from office or become a candidate in the recall election.
Gov. Jan Brewer would have up to 15 days to call an election.
Recall organizer Randy Parraz said that Tuesday's event was not a political rally, but it resembled one, with about 100 people marching from the state Senate building across the Capitol Mall to the Secretary of State's Office, led by an honor guard carrying the Arizona and U.S. flags.
The group cheered loudly when children carried four crates of signatures into the building and when Parraz announced the number of signatures.

I want to say here that I am really impressed with Randy Parraz and think he will be a shooting star in AZ politics. He did very well in the Democrat debates for senator, although he didn’t win.
A group called Citizens for a Better Arizona submitted petitions Tuesday to recall Pearce, a Republican who represents legislative District 18 in west Mesa. The group said it turned in 18,315 signatures. To force a recall, 7,756 signatures would have to be deemed valid in checks by the Maricopa County Recorder's.
Pearce has been saying that he believes many of the signatures are fake or duplicates.
The recall organizers are asking for the count to go quickly to make up for an earlier mistake.
Organizers gathered in Secretary of State Ken Bennett's office Wednesday to seek assurance election officials won't drag their feet and delay the election until March.
"We just want to make sure that politics doesn't enter into this at all," said Chad Snow, chairman of Citizens for a Better Arizona.
The group plans to submit signatures May 31, the deadline to submit recall paperwork.
Bennett addressed the recall organizers and said all of his elections workers would turn to signature verification if the group submits the paperwork. They'd work as quickly as possible while ensuring their work is accurate, he said.
"We'll do everything as fast as we can," Bennett said.
He acknowledged his office mistakenly told the group it had until May 31 to meet the deadline for a November election. The office later realized May 10 is the correct date if every step of the process takes the maximum time required by law. His office notified the group when the error was identified last week, Bennett said.

The Case against Sen. Russell Pearce is clear and his most recent actions indefensible. Four Reasons to Recall and Remove Russell Pearce:
1. Voted to terminate health care for seniors, struggling families and people with a disability.
2. Opposes the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
3. Voted to require American citizens show a Government ID for emergency care.
4. Opposes access to public education for all Arizona children.
Citizens demand more from their leaders when it comes to addressing real problems like the budget crisis, job losses, foreclosures, funding for public education and health care for those most in need.
