I woke up less than an hour before beginning this diary and after my daily training, I checked my email to discover a message sent last night from Fuse. It reads a little something like this:
Dear Friend,
Just minutes ago, Rob McKenna announced his candidacy for Governor of our state.
We are taking the unprecedented step of emailing you right after his announcement because McKenna has made a career out of fighting against a progressive future for Washington.
McKenna has been a leader against much of what we stand for, including his opposition to affordable, quality health care for all, a healthier environment, and better wages and benefits for working families. In addition, he has established a clear track record of supporting the conservative corporate interests that have backed his campaigns.
McKenna has moved even farther to the right recently to curry favor with Tea Party members, all while trying to sound like a moderate in public.
We believe it is important to push back today so that Washington voters know where McKenna stands. We know that powerful corporate interests will spend millions of dollars manufacturing a moderate image that conceals his true record. Here are four things you can do right now to spread the word...
The four ways listed include passing the message along through Twitter and Facebook. The latter I use sparingly, the former not at all. However, the first way listed includes checking out the "rapid response" video exposing AG McKenna as the corrupt Tea Party charlatan he really is and passing it along to at least 3 other people.
I say, "Why stop at just 3?"
So, instead of doing the e-mail chain letter, I felt it more than appropriate to post it as a diary here on Daily Kos. Frankly, as much as I may disagree with Gov. Gregoire on a few key factors (DOMA, legalizing marijuana) she has still been able to make great strides in keeping WA state blue and generally progressive. However, if this bastard McKenna gets into office, then the Wisconsin Tea Party Fever will spread... And the results will be West Coast versions of Benton Harbor, MI.

We can't let this stand! I know where my vote will lie when Zero Hour comes. The Evergreen State ill needs an Attorney General let alone governor such as Rob McKenna.
