Well, it's all over except for the Daily Kos 4 party at the Fine Line at 8pm tonight, and what a great event!
Even though we woke up late on Thursday and missed the first session we--Lucas, Bill and I--tried to split up the events we attended in order to cover more area. While we learned a lot, which will most likely trickle out in blog posts or improvements to GLP over the next few weeks, what's even more impressive is how the event really charged us up and re-affirmed our commitment to the progressive cause.
We, each, met a lot of really good people--people that shared our vision for a better and brighter future, a future to make our children proud. We met a number of people genuinely interested in the project set forth by GLP itself. We also met people that helped us rethink our approach, to rethink how we at GLP understand our site and its purpose.
The keynotes, at least the ones we caught, Feingold and Van Jones, were absolutely great--I particularly liked Van Jones' speech today over lunch...Van Jones is BACK!!!
Before leaving the convention center today, there is was really no better way (lest you're a vegan) to end the conference than to leave with the taste of bourbon and bacon lingering in your mouth...
Thanks Netroots Nation--see you next year (and tonight for those attending the after party).
