So, the Republicans hosted Obama impersonator Reggie Brown at the recent Republican Leadership Conference.
Apparently it's okay to make racial jokes...
“My favorite month is February, Black history month,” the fake Obama said. “Michelle celebrates the full month, and I celebrate half.”
“My mother loved a black man and no she was not a Kardashian,” he added.
Slightly less acceptable to make anti-Mormon jokes... especially if a Republican is a target...
Of GOP frontrunner, fake Obama joked that Mormon Mitt Romney will have "a first lady, second lady, and third lady."
Boos ensued.
You'll generally get no response at all if you make an anti-Gay joke... IF the target is a Republican...
“John King served him up a ball softer than Barney Frank's backside,” he said, referring to Pawlenty's decision not to attack Romney during a CNN debate.
The audience was silent.
But God help you if you make fun of Michele Bachmann...
Fake Obama began to make fun of Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), but then he was suddenly ushered off stage.
Republicans have notoriously been bigoted and thin-skinned, and this HuPo article shows how quickly the partisan audience turned on this comedian once they realized he wasn't just going to be engaging in non-stop Obama bashing.
Could you imagine the outcry if a group of prominent Democrats hosted a guy like Bill Maher, and he promptly went into some of his most vitriolic anti-Christian material? The "Lamestream LSM Media" would go bonkers and demand immediate apologies. (Knowing our beloved Democrats, they'd get one.)
Just goes to show ya.
Sorry for the short diary... saw this and felt the need to post SOMETHING on it...
