It's just the kitty and me in my little apartment these days.
"Babe" brings life to an otherwise rather quiet and restful place.
Out of nowhere she'll run back and forth across the room like a big bad monster is chasing her.
I'm amazed at how this small place is her whole world! It will probably be the only world she'll know til the end of her days here. I dread to think of that day.
Babe is a calico gray with a few flicks of gold in her long-haired coat.
In the winter she'll lay on top of my covers while I snuggle beneath them. Together we keep on another warm. In the summer, she sneaks under my bed where the air conditioning vent is located. You would like to sleep on it too, if you had a coat as thick as hers, and had to wear it all summer long.Right now she's resting on the arm and back of my loveseat, yawning and looking at me, as if to ask, "When are you going to stop all that typing?"
My kitty isn't a meow-er unless her food or water bowls are empty. She is here, but a stranger wouldn't know it since she usually stays under my bed whenever a visitor comes around.
Babe is my last baby. No diapers to change, only litter boxes. No nursing, although Babe likes to relax as though she's a tiny kitten "making biscuits" around her mommy's breasts.
Lonely? Try a cat! They're lots less trouble than a dog!
What would we humans ever do if our Creator hadn't made pets to take care of us!
