This'll be quick.
By now, you've undoubtedly heard all about this:
BOSTON — A lesbian couple is suing a Vermont inn, claiming it refused to host their fall wedding reception because of their sexual orientation.
Kate Baker and Ming Linsley filed the suit on Tuesday in Vermont Superior Court, accusing the Wildflower Inn of Lyndonville of abruptly turning them away after learning they are lesbians.
This is where I live. That inn is nine miles from my house.
Our area is served by the right wing Caledonian-Record (yes, there are at least two right wing rags in Vermont I can think of) which has a webpoll up:
Should the Wildflower Inn owners be able to decline a wedding reception from happening at their facility if the couple is lesbian?
Now, it's tilting in the correct direction, but nowhere close to decisively enough.
The poll can be found at caledonianrecord dot com about halfway down the starboard side of the page. Look for the big red circle and slash.
I'm not providing a direct link for obvious reasons. Or at least, I hope the reasons are obvious.
Go thou and vote, wouldja?
