At the end George W. Bush, we were all elated that the most wacky, right wing and ineffective administration in modern time was gone for good. We were also happy that the GOP was severely destroyed that mounting a come to the White House was a long shot.
But what happened in less than three years was mind shocking. The GOP is not only looking to retake the White House, but the Senate and the House.
What happened?
Simple: Obama's flawed approach to politics and governing. Let me explain.
I watched with dismay a video clip of President Obama telling a group of bi-partisan students that compromise is how government works; that in a democracy you don't expect to get everything you. That's basically how he has tried to govern.
At first, I could not believe what I was hearing. He has just revealed to the whole world his modus operandi. His opponents of course are seasoned jackals and they pounce on him without fear. They know he will cave in. They know he will not fight for anything. They know he will just roll over and accept any crumbs or left over.
So, the GOP took Obama to the woodshed and destroyed him during the health care debate while he played nice and stupid with a deeply flawed assumption that his opponents will come to their senses. They did not till the end. Yet Obama gave them everything without a single vote from the GOP.
Yet Mr Smart Ass president did not learn anything. Again he to the deep bend, negotiating with folks who stated that they want him to fail, to be a one term president. How could this be? How can one flawed politician destroy his presidency as well as sinking the fortune of his party?
I like Obama as a person. As a president, I hate him without remorse. He is weak, fearful, and wants public love. I don't need a romantic president, displaying public love for his wife or kids is no way to win affection of the public.
A leader need to be feared.
Bush is feared but stupid and irrational while Obama is smart, thoughtful but no one fears him. Both men did terrible damage to their party. While Bush's arrogance lasted eight years, Obama's should stop at four years to help salvage whatever is left of his systematic destruction of the Democratic party.
I'll not support his re-election in 2012. He is losing in polls not because of unemployment or the bad economy. He is losing because like me who supported in 2008 see him as caving in a lot to the other party.
He lacks a stiff spin.
