Green Eggs and Ham seems to be about a stubborn child who isn't willing to explore something beyond his limited experience. How peculiar it is to see a parody (below the fold) on the Facebook status of some Tea Party friends.
I do not like this Uncle Sam, I do not like this health care scam.
I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books.
I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their secret deals.
I do not like ex-speaker Nan, I do not like this 'YES WE CAN'.
I do not like this spending spree, I'm smart, I know that nothing's free.
I do not like their smug replies, when I complain about their lies.
It's about them!
In the end of Dr. Seuss' original story, the self-centered narrator -- who has wreaked havoc during his tantrum -- tries the breakfast, likes it, and thanks Nancy Pelosi for her persistence.
Unfortunately, not all children who enjoy the story end up calming down, eating their vegetables, and thanking their elders.
