Tonight's the third Republican presidential debate in the 2012 nominating contest, this time from Ames, Iowa. Join in the live commentary and discussion here on Daily Kos while you watch it live on
Fox News Channel GOP TV or
on the web.
7:56 PM PT: Bachmann gets a 15 second response to start out the next segment. Once again voices her commitment to default. Jon Huntsman wants to repeal No Child Left Behind. And choice and vouchers. Huntsman says the Boehner deal was good, and that Boehner should be complimented. He concluded by saying "this nation should never default." I counted three pairs of hands clapping.
7:56 PM PT: Concluding statements are beginning, 30 seconds each. Santorum starts first. And did I detect twang in his voice when he said "South Carolina"?
7:58 PM PT: If Huntsman were really cool he'd conclude by looking round the stage and saying: "All these mofos are nuts. Nuts!"
7:59 PM PT: Robot Mitt Romney concludes by saying what America needs is someone who believes in capitalism. He looks happy that the debate is over. Notice he kept his mouth shut for much of the debate?
8:01 PM PT: Bachmann says the Iowa caucuses can bring about the end of the Obama presidency. Does she not understand that the caucuses are in January and the general election is not until November?
8:01 PM PT: Pawlenty ends by thanking God. Gingrich ends by thanking Fox.
