This is my reply to the frustrated e mail sent on Wednesday August 31st, 2011 by Obama campaign. It is the ubiquitous word that has found a resting sofa in the oval office that made me to reply to the e mail.
The reply after the jump:
“That’s why I'm putting forward a set of bipartisan proposals to help grow the economy and create jobs"
Mr. President,
Whatever you are doing is not working. Maybe you should try progressive proposals instead of bipartisan proposals. Bipartisan is not working. You will not be able to pass anything tangible through the house. The only tool you have left is progressive ideas that can contrast with tea party ideas. Many Americans don't see you fighting hard for them. They see you triangulating for reelection and you are likely going to lose if you continue down the part of bipartisan proposal.
You are the president not a legislator. Galvanize the people; give them the reason to fight for you. It doesn’t look like you are fighting for them. Economic uncertainty ought to be favorable to democratic president. If Bush can win reelection in the height of messy Iraq war, you ought to win reelection during an economic downturn.
As it stands now Mr. President, you seem not to have a solution to America economic problem. Why should you be reelected, when you couldn’t put the country on the part to economic recovery? This is a question from a diehard Democrat. What do you think the independents would be thinking come Election Day? Bipartisanship isn’t going to appeal to them. Bipartisanship can make you look good, but it does nothing to show you as a strong leader.
Mr. President Sir, you are a transformational leader. However, your unwillingness to be confrontational is standing in the way of your potential. You have been chosen to be here at this moment; to fight this fight for the good of the people.
FDR, Gandhi, Mandela, MLK and Abraham Lincoln had their own Tea party in term of strong opposition. Lincoln did not shy away from going to war; Gandhi did not compromise when seeking independence for his people neither did Washington with his rag tag militia. Deficit did not stop FDR from going to war. The unemployment in America is your own war; it is your own Osama Bin Laden. You can hunt down the menace or leave it for someone else to do the job.
As a supporter, I hope you will be able to proudly recite the old saying “Let it be said of me, as the president of this great nation, I Barack H Obama did all I can do for the benefit of my people” at the end of your presidency
