Congress woman, Maxine Waters is at again.
Just last week, she whacked President Barack Obama on the same issue. I don't affectionately like the President's policies or his giving in to unscrupulous demands from the GOP, but the man is doing his best.
Are you out of your mind, Congresswoman Waters?
I'm black like you, unemployed like many in our community. Thank God, I'm not waiting on Obama or the government to hand me a check.
I don't want it.
I'm gainfully self-employed, and loving it.
Chronic and catastrophic unemployment in our community is not President Obama's making. It is neither a 'whitey' or sabotage.
We alone are responsible for our rotten lives.
Leave Obama alone!
You've made a career attacking President Obama, who is elected to serve the need of the whole country, not just blacks and Hispanics.
Why is unemployment so huge in our community? Why? Ask those questions instead of attacking the President adifinitum. Let's address the root causes of our woes not just the effects of lack of jobs.
Education is part of it, by education I don't necessarily mean college degree or high school diplomas. Though it is very good and advisable to seek formal education. But that's not all. Most of us were not taught good economics, money management, wealth accumulation and social etiquette that fosters an ambient life. We want it but aren't willing to pay the price.
For instance most of us will like to start in life, riding big expensive cars, clothes, jewelry and stuff that saps wealth than create or accumulating it. How do I know? I started that way. College was never important. Brand new Mazda 626 was my first ride, it brought no wealth. It drained me financially instead. I did nothing but chase women around, spent money on stuff that added no value.
I can on and on with topic, but you get my direction at least.
You don't see Asians complaining about about unemployment. Only we African-Americans. Why is it that Asians who spoke no English will come here with no citizenship even, and within a few years are doing fine in business? What is it that they are doing that needs copying? Not slavishly asking government to help all the time.
This stupidity has got to stop. Leave white folks alone. They are not the cause of our problems.
Besides, President Obama should not be lured into crafting policies just to benefit one particular group, even a group that I'm one of. It is illegal, politically inept and socially unjust. I puke when I hear Congresswoman advocate insane polices for the President.
We are all Americans, not just blacks, whites, and others in between.
We create our own reality. If government does not create jobs in the public sector, or the private sector is not creating enough for everybody, then you own it to yourself to create one.
That's what I've been doing for the past few years. I don't need government to help me find a job!
