The memo tonight for the most part is going to be about jobs, jobs, jobs, and jobs. So, in addition to SOP for my nightly diaries here, I thought I'd go into the "work histories" of some of the Congressional leadership & members of the "super Congress" who are going to have a big impact on the economic future of this country.
Speaker Sobbin' Small Price to Pay Goldilocks' family owned a bar (a huge shock, I know), so Little Speaker Sobber helped out there at the tender age of 8. After he graduated from college (the first child in his family to do so), he worked in plastics - kind of like in The Graduate but not exactly. ;D
Before Rep. Eric Cantor began tying disaster aid to spending cuts in other areas, he did legal & real estate work for his family's real estate business. Dad was the Virginia state treasurer for Ronald Reagan's campaign in 1980.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi, often derided for her "San Francisco values," was actually born in Baltimore. There is very little if any "work history" outside of politics for a darn long time.
Let's get SPARKy before we go sparkin' live! :D I can almost buy into the concept of getting insurance for your critter but check out some of these claims. I can just see some insurance peep reading the form & saying, "What the spark?!"
Darth Vader's mode of transportation has seriously & pathetically gone downhill! But, he & Pee - Wee Herman should now have at least 1 thing in common. ;D
Finally, these WallyWorld employees have seen Dog Day Afternoon one too many times!
Let's Countdown - sparkin' live edition...
