I am not a God. I know this because I do not have a beard. I am not at all sure He exists, but I am pretty sure that if He did exist He would have a beard. I do not.
But, if I were a God, I think I would be very disappointed in Muslims who use the Holy Koran to justify the slaughter of innocent people. I'm not sure that He would especially approve of not allowing women to drive, but I do think using the words of His Prophet to kill others would likely disappoint him. However I don't know this for sure because I can not see into the souls of men, and I do not have a beard.
But if I did have a beard and was a God, I think I would be very unhappy with the Chosen People that were led out of slavery into the Promised Land and who now wish to hold another group of His people behind walls. They may be able to find justification in the words of the Torah, or the fear in their hearts, but if I were a God I think I would be unhappy.
Fortunately, I am not a God, because I have no beard, I cannot see into the souls of men and have no idea of how the people of the Middle East can ever find a way to live together in peace.
I think if I were a God, I would be most unhappy with, and disappointed in, those who are Christian and selfish. I can't remember any passage in the Holy Bible that says it is proper to amass great fortune and feast while the poor hunger. Nor do I recall any biblical instruction to refuse succor to those who are in pain or healing to those who are ill. Nor any exhortation for them to proudly and vainly exult in their own selfishness, although I do know that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
No, I am not a God, because I have no beard, I cannot see into the souls of men, have no idea how war can become peace, but mostly and truly because I would never, ever have given up my only begotten Son to save their selfish souls.
