Sorry, no transcript because it is late, but I will try to piece something together before I head back downtown to Liberty Plaza, Manhattan tomorrow, but I had to get this posted because bless him Keith Olbermann NAILS IT. The corporate media is trying to suffocate the anti-Wall Street protests by not providing it coverage, but going into day six with substantial crowds the point that KO nails which can not be missed is that if we were a bunch of teabaggers protesting Wall Street because Ben Bernanke decided to spend more money on (GASP!) fixing the economy during a Democratic Presidency, this would be a front page story on every news paper and receive 24-7 talking head coverage.
If we were protesting "regulations" or teh gubmint or Obama's Hitler like qualities instead of Wall Street's cannibalistic greed, you know things would be different. Instead the corporate owned media is trying to suppress this story by ignoring it, but it is not working.
More people are arriving as I write. The whole world is watching. People are settling in for the long haul. People are ignoring the bullshit corporate media. This isn't going away.
So here is a quick cheers and thank you to Keith Olbermann for saying what we all know, that if this was a 6 day running tea party protest demanding the far right Republican agenda this would have wall to wall Rupert Murdoch coverage, Glenn Beck would be declaring millions are involved in a world changing moment, and Rush Limbaugh would be grunting in supportive amusement as he swallows live kittens dipped in gravy.
Cheers to Keith Olbermann and #OccupyWallStreet, which is the most used hash tag on twitter to not be a trending hash tag on twitter, for reasons that have nothing to do with the American media's suppression of stories that conflict with a pro billionaire agenda.
P.S., quick notes.
If Kossacks are going to #OccupyWallStreet, try and wear something orange so we can recognize each other, secret agent style. I will be wearing an orange bandana. I just noticed it was made in China. That's part of the problem.
Also, I will be back at the protests tomorrow with a more in-depth live blog and the pics that I promised. My apologies for not posting them yet, but it's late, same with the transcript of Olbermann's video, but if anyone can find a link to a transcript of the video posted above, it would be much appreciated.
Peace and love to all on this late, rainy New York morning.
