Indulge me in just a bit of sports blogging before bedtime. This morning, the final day of baseball's regular season, all but two playoff spots had been decided. In the American League the Tampa Bay Rays were tied with the Boston Red Sox, and in the National, the St. Louis Cardinals had knotted up the Atlanta Braves.
At 11:00 PM EDT, the only game of consequence completed is the Cardinals Houston game won by the Cards 8-0. The Braves who had a 3-2 lead are tied at 3 in the 12th inning.
In the American League, the Tampa Bay Rays were losing 7-0 late in their game against the Yankees, but it is now tied at 7 in the 10th. The Red Sox are up by a run 3-2 over Baltimore after a rain delay. Just one word --Wow!
