Are there fewer F.O.O. in da' house tonight because of the rapture? :D
For those of us left behind, let's add a little SPARK to our lives! :D If the aforementioned rapture doesn't happen today, but it turns out those pesky Mayans were correct, then get right with {insert deity of your choice here} & head to 1 of these destinations. Maybe, these fellas were on their way to a Point Break Part Deux audition! Finally, Hubby & I somehow missed this little gem the last time we were in Chicago; we were even in the damn museum! Well, we'll have to make a note of it next time. :D
Let's Countdown...
Keith's experimenting with wardrobe choices? He must be tiring of the sans tie w/suit jacket, so he's going to try loosened tie sans suit jacket. He should begin a fashion column in Vogue or something! :D
#5 "Occupy Day 35" AKA "Occupy Wall Street" - The NYPD is randomly stopping NYC citizens to frisk them if they look suspicious?! Are you $hitting me?! Wow. And, there's a sleep - over in the park tonight? Cool! Don't let anyone try to put your hand in a dish of warm water while you're sleeping. :D If I was a kid going to the part tonight, I'd demand s'mores. :) Dr. Cornel West was arrested in Harlem today. Rep. Eric Cantor cancelled a speech in PA when he learned the speech was open to the public - including Occupy Philly. HA! What a chicken $hit. Occupy L.A. became Occupy Pirate Rupert today. Newscorp stockholders are meeting. How would you like to be a fly on the wall for THAT mother?! Chicago Board of Trade peeps decided to act real classy today - NOT. Cops in Melbourne Australia got nasty with protestors - after they'd removed their ID badges. Nice. Paul Krugman's with Keith tonight to talk about his Occupy observations after he talked to Rachel last night. He thinks the change in dialogue in "the media" might actually stick - especially if Occupy efforts hang in there despite the winterization of weather over a big chunk of this country soon to come. Whether or not this change in dialogue leads to a change in policy remains to be seen. Mr. Krugman also doesn't have an issue with Occupy efforts not having a "central message." Their efforts are to illuminate. Naomi Wolf must've made bail! ;D She was arrested in front of a building that was featuring a shin - dig for Governor Cuomo. She'd been invited to that gig? I thought she was crashing it! Then, how the spark was she arrested?! She was an invited guest; she should've claimed she was taking a smoke break or something! When the cops found out that lawyers were waiting at the precinct she was heading, they took a detour to another precinct. CLASSY! Homeland Security basically shut down a NYC street? Well, OK then! *&^%$#@! Ah, I guess she was released. It sounds like some NYPD are making their own laws?
#4 "Shown the Exit Strategy" AKA "Exit Strategy?" - American blood & treasure for the most part WILL BE out of Iraq in time for the holidays - because the Iraq government kicked us out because they wouldn't go for some sort of immunity or protection for conduct by our forces or something. Ya' know, I don't care why we're out of there. After 9 years, too much money spent, too many lives lost, and too many lives irreparably changed, I'M JUST GLAD WE'RE GETTING THE SPARK OUTTA THERE! So, President Obama is taking credit for something he really didn't do, but the GOBP is fibbing about what he did do & was able to accomplish. Tim Dickinson gets Iraq leaving duty. Bat$hit Bachmann wants reparations or something from Iraq for us "liberating" them. Why can't she be raptured already?!
"Time Marches On!" - KITTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D The front end of a truck - with the driver still in it - decided to take a ride on a bigger truck. O...K... A guy proposed to his girlfriend in a nice scenic spot; he'd hoped to capture the moment on video, but his pooch had a different plan! I was waiting for the dog to whiz on 1 of them. Now, THAT would've been funny!!!!!!!! :D
#3 "Jobs Act II" AKA "Republicans Against Jobs" - Senate GOBP with the help of a few Dems & Joementum killed the part of President Obama's jobs plan that would've kept coin for teachers, fire fighters, cops, etc. The poverty rate rose from 14.3% to more than 15% last year. Mississippi & New Mexico got the brunt of it. Huh, I get Mississippi but not New Mexico. Senator Amy Klobuchar is going to try an infrastructure bill - good luck with that, honey. Joe Williams gets no - jobs & Senate duty. I gotta look up what Senators are up for re - election for next year. I know there's a chart on the Senate website of who gets elected when, so I'll dig up that link & put it in the comments. Poverty numbers in TX aren't so great, either. Gee, what a shock - NOT.
WPITW - Gary Bauer is the next person jumping on the anti - Semite Occupy efforts by linking the Tucson shooter to them? Uh...OK...not quite sure how that works, but I don't have Gary Bauer's brain. A NJ GOBP state Senate candidate advocated hookers in bedrooms then tried to kind of sort of apologize for that comment. "Herb" Cain wants to put the kibosh on the minimum wage & the capital gains tax.
#1 "Murdoch - Gate" - Pirate Rupert made an appearance at the Newscorp stockholders meeting today. Brit Parliament guy Tom Watson, the 1 who asked all the cool questions over the summer, was there, too, and he's chatting with Keith tonight! $4.8 million is going to the family of the murdered girl who's voice mails & cell phone was hacked into. The board was re - elected, but the vote count hasn't been released. Key votes were probably pretty close - like for Pirate Rupert & Little Jimmy. ;D Mr. Watson was actually invited to the meeting - WOW! He spoke to Occupy peeps in L.A. while he was there? Cool! Brit investigation efforts will probably focus on Little Jimmy because he just might have fibbed to that committee when he testified over the summer - a shock, I know. ;D
