I have created what I believe to be a more sustainable/stable 5-4 Democratic map.
Statewide
1st Congressional District - Blue
Bloomington, Carmel (Parts), Columbus, Franklin, Indianapolis (Parts), Meridian Hills, Plainfield, Rocky Ripple, and Speedway.
Obama: 58.5%

- It would seem likely that several candidates from Indy would jump in. This would allow a clear path for a Bloomington candidate, ie. State Senate Minority Leader Vi Simpson. Excuse me, I mean Congresswoman Vi Simpson. Bloomington is the largest Democratic voting block in the district. Other possible candidates include Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan, State Senator Greg Taylor, State Rep. Jeb Bardon, State Rep. Peggy Welch, State Rep. Matt Pierce, State Rep. Edward DeLaney, State Rep. Cherrish Pryor, State Rep. Vanessa Summers.
