It's the fracking disposal wells. <<--- I highly recommend reading and following this Planet Save blog. You will find pictures and deep explanations into the potential problems with fracking.
But hey, Disaster Capitalism is just about all we have left to stimulate the economy, right? That and destroying the land and water in search of fuel because installing geothermal, wind, and solar on small scales to power neighborhoods would just be....unprofitable for future energy price gouging by the Energy Cartels of America and elsewhere. I could be wrong.
Todays admission that UK fracking caused Blackpool earthquakes:
United Kingdom, Blackpool: Article published today by Business Insider
A press release from Cuadrilla Resources, who were responsible for exploration in the region, reported that:
"The hydraulic fracturing of Cuadrilla’s Preese Hall-1 well did trigger a number of minor seismic events."
"The seismic events were due to an unusual combination of geology at the well site coupled with the pressure exerted by water injection as part of operations."
Arkansas
Earthquakes & Fracking
"In September, we reported that the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission has banned fracking disposal wells for unconventional gas drilling wastes due to earthquakes.
How did they get the idea to study the link? Well, in 2010, after fracking started in the state, the number of earthquakes was over 600 — about as many as in Arkansas in the last 100 years! Connection?"
Trinedad, Colorado: This years 5.6 quake and swarm
A commentator offers this great information that includes reference to a USGS 2001 report for this same area after a big quake and swarm in 2001:
An article that may be of great interest is the USGS Investigation of an Earthquake Swarm Near Trinidad, Colorado, August-October 2001.
Although the USGS came to the conclusion, after that 12-earthquake event, that the water injection was NOT responsible for the earthquakes, I invite you to look at the maps in Section III, Subsections A (Locations of the 12 earthquakes being investigated) and in Section III, Subsection C (Locations of the 10 fluid disposal wells in operation at that time). To me, they appear to be almost a layover of each other.
Virginia Quake "Marcellus Shale drilling to blame for Virginia earthquake? No fracking way, industry officials say
According to online records at the Environmental Protection Agency, Virginia appears to have as many as 75 such wells. Arkansas has more than 1,000.
Argue all you want. But the fracking evidence is piling up. Tick Tick Tick

Did Fracking Cause the Earthquakes in Oklahoma?
There is a link to an Oklahoma Geological Survey, OGS report.
Before going to this study it is important to reiterate how important it is to
ASK THE RIGHT QUESTION!
If we ask "Does fracking cause earthquakes?", there is no way to be conclusive because the question is too broad.
However, if we ask "Is there a correlation between earthquakes and fracking disposal wells?" the examples in the Introduction and especially Caudrillo's admission prove that there are, imo.
We have to be on the lookout for the Industry spewing reports that ask the wrong question(s) and demand research/reports that ask the right question(s) based on present evidence/indications.
FRACKING CRAZY WORLD
Lastly, why not make neighborhood geothermal plants boosted by solar and wind power, as we all start reducing our personal energy footprints? And why not add a One Foot Layer to the outside of all buildings and roofs to provide better insulation?
This video shows the proximity of the fracking disposal wells and the Oklahoma quakes this weekend:
