I guess at this point there is no reason to be shocked by any of Herman Cain's attempts to cover up this imbroglio. Is it gall, or balls, or just sheer stupidity which led him to come out today and say he can't remember ever seeing Sharon Bialek when there are witnesses to their meeting last month at "Tea-Com", a convention of Teabaggers. And not only that, but backstage at the event and in front of a number of people in the media.
One of them is Amy Jacobsen who has a radio program on a local station in Chicago - her show directly precedes Glen Beck's. She was interviewed on Beck's show today, hours before Cain's press conference, and related her story of witnessing a confrontation between Cain and Bialek just before he took the stage at the convention. The clip is quite funny in how Beck tries to steer Jacobsen to smear Bialek, something she steadfastly refuses to do. Quite the opposite. But perhaps that's because Ms. Jacobsen herself has been a victim of workplace sexual harassment. Anyway, the interview is here, in it's entirety, and well worth a listen.
