A reminder that TRMS diaries make their triumphant return tomorrow night! :D
Otherwise, the witty diary introduction part of my brain is toast - along with most of the rest of it, so let's move on to SPARK. :) Some "winner" thought of another use for this particular pork product. And, here's ANOTHER "creative use" for a different pork product! After all this pig news, comedic deities demand this song. :)
That pesky Jon Stewart's just causing trouble everywhere. Finally, my long - held suspicions about vile tea have been confirmed! ;)
Let's Countdown - tea never included! :D
#5 "As Many as 10K Protestors on Brooklyn Bridge" AKA "Occupy Day 62" - Look at that mass of humanity in "the city so nice they named it twice" today! $HIT! :) Mounties were at the Stock Exchange this morning. Some gathered at Zuccotti Park to get ready for the day. Over 1000 protestors marched to the Stock Exchange to try to delay the opening. A women in a wheel chair was first arrested, but, since NYPD didn't know what to do with her, they just gave her a ticket. A uniformed police officer from Philly was among those arrested today! 2 more NYC council members were arrested today. So, who wasn't arrested today? ;) One guy looks like he got his head bashed in - literally. Anne Hathaway was at Union Square today! :D Some protestors took their stories to the subways even though Greg Kelly (son of NYC police commissioner) got on the local FAUX News station to claim protestors were going to shut down the subway. Now, how could they do that even if they wanted to? Adam Gabbatt from The Guardian is back to talk about what he saw today. NYPD presence was huge, but they were probably damn surprised at the protestor numbers; protestors may have been surprised, too! :) The raid on Zuccotti Park the other night just might have had some consequences Mayor Putz wasn't ready for. Ya' think he wishes now he'd let the protestors stay the spark there?! ;D People came from far away to be a part of what happened in New York City today. Michael Kink was able to get into the Stock Exchange today & left a little message about what Occupy's all about. A whole lot of people felt the impetus to get involved after the park was cleared out the other night. Thanks Mayor Putz! :D
#4 "Occupy Day 62" - Protestors blocked traffic in L.A. today - uh oh! ;D Occupy ramped up efforts on "the left coast," too. Dorli Rainey got an apology from Seattle's mayor today in an actual phone call! Elise Whitaker was part of Occupy L.A. today. She had planned to be arrested today but decided to come on the show instead. She's heading back after her appearance. Some L.A. protestors have gone to Oakland & NYC to show their solidarity.
#3 "The People's Plan" AKA "Super Occupied Committee" - The "super" Congress, if it gets anything done at all, will probably end up socking it to we, the people again. However, Occupy DC has come up with a jobs plan! Some details include creating a fair tax system to decrease the wealth divide, cutting spending for economic security, creating jobs to restart the economy, protect & improve Social Security, expand Medicare to cover everyone, and "democratizing" the economy. Jeff Madrick is in studio; he read the plan & is impressed by the details & the seriousness put into the effort. He really likes the Medicare - for - all idea! Me, too, also, you betcha! ;D Health care costs will be the biggest driver in our fiscal future. Mr. Madrick wishes President Obama hadn't begun deficit discussion so stinking early because other economic needs & ideas didn't stand a chance.
"Breaking News: "Show Me Your Papers" State SC Reinstates Redistricting Chair" - Remember Governor Brewer giving that person the heave - ho a few weeks ago because she didn't like the redistricting plan? Well, that person has the job back, and Gov. Brewer will blame headless torsos. ;D
"Time Marches On!" - A doggie took a spin, did kind of a turtle back flip thing, then made a fort with a blanket. In Kansas City today, a lovely couple got married today! BABY PENGUINS!! :D
WPITW - BillO had declared OWS dead - yesterday & cited the presence of hypodermic needles as evidence of the debauchery going on there. Yea, tea baggers prefer guns to needles, and they don't provide medical care, either. Governor Secession took something that President Obama said out of context? File this news under "No $hit, Sherlock." He also has no clue about how President Obama was raised. Jabba the Ailes is fixated on Justice Kagen's emails about HCR - not a word about "Justices" Thomas or Scalia. Go sparking figure. FAUX News doesn't know a damn thing about the Constitution, either.
#1 "Red States?" AKA "Dislike" - The popularity of Congress is at an all - time low. WELL DUH?! Congress is at a whopping 9% - below BPBS at the height of the gulf spill and turning the whole country Commie. "Herb" Cain's popularity is going down the terlet, too. Maysoon Zayid's in studio to talk "Herb" & the popular Congress! :D
